♥ mentaiko pasta ♥


mmmm. mentaiko pasta! this shit is awesome.
one of my favorite dishes and super easy to make.


mine looks like a sloppy pile of noodle-y barf.
but trust me its delicious.
salty, spicy, with interesting texture from the tiny fish eggs.

i'm not so classy, so i just kind of throw everything together in a sauce pan so i don't know any measurements.


you need:

mentaiko
butter
cream
angel hair (i used spaghetti cause i didnt feel like going to the store)
kewpie mayo
chicken stock and a little white wine if you want.
i like green onion but i didnt have any at the moment.


scrape the eggs from the sacks.
melt the butter, add the wine and chicken stock, than the cream. turn off the heat
toss in the eggs and give it a stir.

i like putting the eggs in the mayo before mixing it in with the cream. it doesnt really matter either way how you do it, it'll taste the same.
(soo good as dip for french fries or on top of hot rice)
drain your pasta and toss in the pan till its coasted with sauce.
sprinkle with nori and green onion. or in my case, furikake.

get a fork and wolf it down. make sure to drink lots of cold beer with it.
