i love me some jellyfish

the instant kind rules because you dont have to cut it up. i add green onion, thai red chili and furikake. it doesnt taste like anything but what you season it with. i'm just in love with the texture. its crunchy with a bite that reminds me of those cloud ear fungus which is another favorite textural food. actually after the first time i ate jellyfish i immediately thought of that kind of fungus and i learned that in japanese that fungus is called キクラゲ. or tree jellyfish.
my mom likes it, but my dad won't try it, i guess its just because its a jellyfish and he wont eat anything from the ocean unless its fried shrimp or crabcakes.
